My Story
I have taken over 20 years of experience working in maternal health: an ob/gyn's office, hospital as a labor and delivery nurse, and as a doula in both hospital/home-birth, and written a comprehensive doula curriculum from both a nursing perspective and a holistic approach. I have a strong desire to educate and equip future doulas from this balanced viewpoint; and train them to serve women in a way that exceeds expectations of both their clients and their client's birth team. There is a huge gap in care and it is my desire to bridge that gap with competent, educated, intuitive, passionate, well-rounded doulas. If this is you register now!
Doula Training Workshop
Class Saturday from 8:00am-5:00pm
We will dive deep into pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. How to serve your client throughout each. You will learn everything you need to feel confident walking into the birth space.
Class Sunday from 9:00am-5:00pm
The Business of Being a Doula. From setting up your website, building your brand, social media, marketing your business, insurance, and more. You will leave fully equipped to start your doula business.
Hands on practice and walking through scenarios.
Continued Support
Once you have registered for class you will be added to a private group of Growing Your Nest Doulas where I share continuing education and a space for questions and growth.
Doula Mentorship
I offer a mentorship program for doulas who need ongoing support. Click on "birth planning/mentorship" to learn more.
Minimal Requirements for Certification
To become a great doula you need a passionate heart to serve women. It is my belief if you have this you will have a desire to learn the skills needed to become the best version of yourself.
